Description & Details

Labradorite is one of the most important stones for transformation. Our master artist, Eberhard Bank, has applied his skills to make this a highly sought-after piece, bringing in the Wisdom of the Owl.

Throughout various cultures, the owl represents several facets of life. In the Buddhist tradition, the Owl has been thought to be an enemy of ignorance, a representation of isolation, and used as a guide for deep mediation. In Athens, Owls represent a force of mystery and are associated with all things good. The Owl also represents the Greek Goddess Athena, the goddess of night, war, wisdom, and of the arts. Many cultures believe the Owl will bring them wisdom, protection from evil spirits, and may help with health problems such as eye and brain disorders, sharpen mental acuity, help with anxiety and stress, regulate metabolism, balance hormones and regulate menstruation symptoms, and possibly be able to help with colds, gout, rheumatism, blood pressure, and digestion.

Treasured for its remarkable reflection of colors, the internal colors give labradorite a reputation of being "labradorescense." Its aggregate layers are usually grey-green or black-whitish grey. These layers of colors are able to refract iridescent flashes of peacock blue, gold, pale green, or coppery reds making it a unique stone to have in your collection.
